Munich Welding is a full service custom fabrication shop. We turn carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum into great custom industrial products. We have strengths in large products with in house blast and paint facilities that can handle products up to 85 ft long 16 feet wide and 16 feet tall.We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual with leadership characteristics to be our paint room supervisor.Skills* Minimum 5 years experience in non-residential industrial coatings* Proficient ability to read and understand shop blueprints and quality control drawings* Professional leadership skills to lead a 3-5 man crew* Physical ability to be primary paint applicator on large projects and tanks* Competent knowledge of Paint Data sheets, proper painting procedures, required application amounts, and NACE guidelines* Willingness to follow, lead, and enforce all safety rules and regulations.* Willingness to work overtime as needed* Strong Organizational SkillsResponsibilities* Lead and direct blast and paint crew on daily activities* Perform and complete regulatory audits and documentation* Enforce required safety guidelines* Perform the majority of project coating applications* Perform Pre-audit QC for blasted surfaces and mil checks for painted parts* Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint kitchen, blast room, and paint roomJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 – 50 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time offSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:* Bonus opportunities* Overtime payApplication Question(s):* Can you mix and apply two part epoxy paint systems?* Are you willing to work overtime during the week, some Saturdays, and occasional Sundays as needed depending on work load?* Will you enforce and adhere to safety regulations for yourself and your crew?* Will you require your team to perform any tasks that you would not do?Experience:* industrial painting: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:* Drivers License (Required)Work Location: In person
