The Lead Instructor/Training Supervisor is responsible for the seamless management and operational success of their campus, ensuring high-quality CDL training programs and a positive learning environment. This role supervises a team of instructors, oversees campus operations, and maintains alignment with organizational goals. By fostering collaboration, professionalism, and a student-focused approach, the Lead Instructor/Training Supervisor contributes to the growth and success of both the campus and the company.An ideal candidate will be someone who has a great attitude and an abundance of patience who fosters a fun and positive work atmosphere. This position will require you to be outside for long hours in any weather conditions. We have regularly scheduled training classes, but flexibility is required as we make adjustments to work around holidays and meet the needs of the students.*100% paid Health Dental, and Vision insurance premiums for employees; retirement, vacation time, 100% paid Colonial Life accident insurance policy, company paid training, competitive pay DOE.**Key Responsibilities**Leadership and Team Supervision** Supervise and mentor a team of instructors, ensuring adherence to company training standards and guidelines.* Audit instructors routinely to verify compliance with established techniques and protocols.* Manage workload efficiently, balancing team supervision with personal responsibilities.* Foster a collaborative team environment that emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and growth.*Operational Oversight** Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance.* Ensure that site facilities, vehicles, and equipment are maintained to operational and safety standards.* Adapt to the evolving needs of the company, demonstrating flexibility and a "roll with the punches" attitude.*Program Delivery and Quality Assurance** Oversee the delivery of CDL training programs, ensuring instructional excellence and program quality.* Instruct students as needed, including pre-trip vehicle inspections, air-brake tests, and driving essentials.* Teach manual and automatic transmission techniques in varied driving environments such as highways, cities, and adverse weather conditions.* Evaluate the effectiveness of training methods and recommend improvements as needed.*Student and Stakeholder Engagement** Show sensitivity to the unique needs of adult learners, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.* Address student inquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive and professional experience.* Represent the site in communications with leadership, stakeholders, and community partners.*Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities** Track and report on key performance metrics for site operations and training outcomes.* Maintain accurate records of student progress, certifications, and compliance documentation.* Provide input on resource planning and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.*Job Requirements** *Ability to pass DOT drug tests upon hire and on an ongoing basis** Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Unrestricted Class "A"* 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last 10 years* CLEAN MVR and PASS background check* Must have a current DOT medical card or be able to obtain DOT Medical card before hire and keep it current* Clean criminal history.
