Job Title

*T*his is a full-time hourly position responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the marina. This includes, but is not limited to assisting customers on the phone and in person, operating boats in the water, moving boats with the forklift, and cleaning and maintaining the bathroom facilities and grounds.*Duties and Responsibilitie**s** Accountable for customer satisfaction by ensuring Hampton River Marina’s quality and customer service standards are maintained at all times.* Move boats to and from storage rack with the forklift.* Wash down and fuel boats.* Wax boats as needed.* Maintain marina grounds (mowing, edging, blowing off leaves).* Clean and maintain bathroom facilities.* Answer phone and operate cash register.* Weekends and holidays required.* Any other duties as required.*Skills & Traits** Friendly and polite with a good attitude.* Ability to safely and confidently operate power boats from 15’ to 35’.* Ability to safely and confidently move boats to and from storage locations with the forklift* Ability to operate basic lawn equipment.* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to courteously present information in one-on-one and in group situations.* Ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with customers and co-workers efficiently and effectively.*Job Requirements** HRM adheres to a drug-free workplace; must be able to successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug screen.* High school diploma or equivalent.* A minimum of two years of boat operating experience.* Forklift or similar heavy equipment experience.*Physical Requirements** Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods.* Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift.* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.* May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards.*Benefits ** Paid VacationJob Type: Full-timePay: From $17.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Paid time offWork Location: In person
