Job Description

*Overview*We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, precision measurement, and mechanical fabrication. This role involves operating CNC lathes and milling machines, interpreting complex blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Candidates with experience in CAD/CAM software, GD&T, and manufacturing processes such as plastics injection molding and welding are highly preferred. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision machining and continuous improvement.*Responsibilities** Program, set up, and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling centers (Fanuc controls preferred)* Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to produce precise components* Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAM programming tools for part design and machining processes* Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments* Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues using hand tools and power tools* Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations to meet quality standards* Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste* Assist with assembly, welding, or plastics injection molding tasks as needed* Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols including the use of safety equipment*Requirements** Proven experience in CNC programming and machining operations with knowledge of CNC lathe and CNC milling machines* Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing processes* Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, CAD software) and CAM programming tools* Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs* Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems* Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances* Experience with tooling selection, setup, and maintenance of CNC equipment* Knowledge of welding techniques, plastics injection molding processes, or lean manufacturing is a plus* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment using hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing equipmentThis role is integral to maintaining high standards of quality in our manufacturing operations.
