*Position Summary:*To provide students on the autism spectrum an educational setting which will allow him/her to reach their fullest developmental, behavioral, emotional and academic potential.*Job Responsibilities:** In cooperation with Individual Educational Planning (IEP) team, plans and implements program of instruction consistent with student’s individualized educational program.* Creates classroom environment conducive to foster learning and behavioral control, and which allows each student opportunity to grow to their maximum potential.* Monitor and asses each student’s on an ongoing basis to meet the student’s specific needs.* Participates in IEP process to which includes assessments, goal review and annual/triennial evaluation.* Maintains accurate and complete records as determined by law, program needs and VAC policy* Assists with coordinating efforts to maintain a professional staff.* Participates in professional development activities as required.* Communicates pupil progress with parents and IEP team.* Adheres to principals of Applied Behavior Analysis in the development, implementation and evaluation of student educational programs.* Performs other related duties assigned.Job Type: Full-timePay: $66,560.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayEducation:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)* Special education: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* Teaching Certification (Required)* Special Education Certification (Required)Work Location: In person
