Job Description

*Job Overview*As a Restoration Technician at Big Wood Property Services, you will be on the front lines of disaster recovery—helping customers recover from water, fire, mold, and storm damage. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in helping restore homes and businesses to pre-loss condition. You’ll work with a team of professionals using specialized equipment and techniques to mitigate damage and begin the restoration process. Fluency in the English language is a requirement.*Duties** Assess and evaluate properties for damage caused by water, fire, or other disasters.* Perform water extraction and drying processes to mitigate water damage.* Conduct fire restoration procedures including smoke and soot removal.* Clean carpets and upholstery as part of the restoration process.* Assist with packing and inventory of affected items* Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.* Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.* Document work performed and communicate findings to supervisors.*Qualifications** Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not required.* Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques is beneficial but not required.* Familiarity with fire restoration processes is a plus.* Experience with carpet cleaning methods is beneficial.* Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.* Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry standards.* Certification in asbestos abatement is a plus but not required.Join our team as a Restoration Technician and contribute to restoring properties while helping clients through challenging situations.
