Cafeteria CookAre you an experienced and reliable cook looking for a consistent *daytime schedule* in a fast-paced, friendly environment? We are seeking a skilled *Cafeteria Cook* to join our food service team, dedicated to preparing high-quality, healthy, and delicious meals for our staff and patrons.Schedule and Compensation* *Hours:* Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.* *Overtime:* Occasional availability for overtime in the afternoons or on weekends may be required.* *Compensation:* Competitive, based on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Cafeteria Cook is a hands-on position responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, focusing on quality food production, efficiency, and sanitation. Core duties include:* *Food Preparation:* Prepare a variety of menu items, including daily specials, ensuring they are healthy, delicious, and affordable.* *Menu Planning:* Plan and prepare the *weekly specials menu*.* *Inventory & Cost Control:* Maintain accurate and detailed inventory records. Implement strict portion control and employ strategies to keep *food waste to an absolute minimum*.* *Procurement Assistance:* Assist with the ordering process and promptly put away delivered food and supplies following proper storage guidelines.* *Sanitation & Safety:* Uphold the highest standards of *food safety and sanitation*.
