*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in meal preparation. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.*Responsibilities** Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.* Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety standards.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils and equipment.* Collaborate with dietary aides to accommodate special dietary needs of guests.* Monitor food inventory levels and assist with inventory ordering as needed.* Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety.* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.* Follow basic instructions, follow recipes, prep list & daily cleaning charts.*Requirements** Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.* Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to create accommodating meal options is preferred.* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu planning is highly desirable.* Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Join our team where your culinary skills can shine, contributing to an exceptional dining experience!Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $14.86 - $16.68 per hourExpected hours: 30 – 40 per weekBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Paid time off* Paid trainingPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
