*Swim Lesson Director – YMCA of Centre County, State College Branch**Location:* State College, PA | *Full-Time* | *$18–$25/hr (~$45,500/year)*The YMCA of Centre County's State College Branch is seeking a *passionate, experienced leader* to oversee and grow our swim lesson programs. This hands-on role combines teaching, staff development, and program management, all while ensuring a *safe and engaging aquatics environment* for children and adults.*What You’ll Do:** Lead and grow swim lesson programs, including private, group, and specialty classes* Teach 30+ hours per week (swim lessons, lifeguarding as needed)* Plan, promote, and schedule aquatic programs and certifications* Hire, train, and supervise swim lesson staff, conducting regular trainings and in-service sessions* Maintain safety and risk management standards in all aquatic programs* Assist families with class placement and maintain accurate records, time sheets, and reports* Support pool operations (chemical management, supply ordering)* Participate in YMCA activities, including the Annual Giving Campaign*What We’re Looking For:** Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience in aquatic program leadership)* Strong background in swim instruction and aquatic programming* Experience working with children, families, and volunteers* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills* Commitment to YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility*Required Certifications:** Current Lifeguard, CPR Pro, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration* YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor preferred (must obtain within 120 days)* YMCA Swim Instructor & Certified Pool Operator recommended* Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicators License preferred (or must obtain within 90 days)*Benefits:** Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)* Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance* 403(b) Retirement Program* Free YMCA Membership*How to Apply:*Send your résumé and inquiries to *Jamie SanFilippo* at **Job Type: Full-timePay: From $45,500.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
