Job Description

Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine dining and a strong background in food preparation and handling. This position is a critical part of our kitchen operation and is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.Duties:- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and cooking sides- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service- Operate kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, stoves, and ovens- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed- Work closely with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests- Participate in food safety training and adhere to all protocols- Perform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:- Experience in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or a related culinary environment- Strong understanding of food handling and safety guidelines- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment- Proficiency with knife skills and kitchen equipment- Familiarity with meal preparation and presentation standards- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Knowledge of dietary aide principles and practices- Certification in food safety or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframeJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hourShift:* 8 hour shiftWork Location: In person
