This organization values your family life and rewards longevity with an EXTRA 5 week time off sabbatical after 10 years!*_Due to company growth__*, Decavo *__is seeking the addition of a __*CNC Mill Machinist *__to join their team in the __*Hood River, OR *__Area__*!*__If you have 2 or more years of experience operating CNC Mills, Decavo would like to hear from you!_*Why you should join the Decavo Team:** *Great Pay*: Earn between $49,000 - $74,000 annually depending on level of experience.* *Plus, Annual Profit-Sharing Bonus!** *Great Day Shift Schedule*: Monday – Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm with NO Mandatory Overtime!* *Great Benefits Package*: Health, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance, 401K with Matching & Profit-Sharing Bonus, Health Savings Account, Transportation Reimbursement, Boot Allowance, and extraordinary *5-week Sabbatical *after 10 years’ tenure* *Exciting Project Work*: Machine aluminum and carbon fiber composite parts to be assembled and finished in-house for modern-day military aircraft* *Training: *Advance your skills and learn programming with On-The-Job training and company-paid continuing education courses.* *Excellent Advancement Opportunities*: Prove yourself in this role to eventually move into a leadership position as a Lead Machinist or beyond.*Duties and Responsibilities:** Help ensure company goals and deadlines are being met.* Set-up and operate milling centers to machine aluminum and trim composite parts to meet customer specifications.* Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.* Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.* Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.* Measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.* Ensures quality is in accordance with company standards* Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on MO’s (Manufacturing Orders).* Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained throughout the assignment.* Change and adjust cutters as required to ensure quality and tolerance requirements have been met.* Ensure machinery and tools are adequately maintained and serviced.* Perform other duties as assigned.*Minimum Qualifications:** High school diploma or equivalent* Machinist certification a plus.* 2-5 years of 3-axis machining experience required* 4 or 5-axis machining experience a plus* One year Mastercam or equivalent CAD/Cam experience required* Demonstrate high skill level with the desire for continuous learning* Precise accurate machining ability. Attention to detail and a meticulous eye* Knowledge of general machining processes using a wide variety of machine tools* Understanding of CNC type machines and the processes they use, such as set-ups, monitoring, change-outs, etc.* The ability to know when to stop and ask for clarification* Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area* Blueprint reading and basic math skills* Good manual dexterity* Ability to stand for long durations of time* Ability to work in noisy environments that require ear protection and respirator use* Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs//* Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others* Team player, actively participating in continuous improvement projects with coworkers* Self-motivation, able to accomplish high level of work* Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions* Work well independently or within a team in a positive collaborative manner_About the Company: Decavo is a premier supplier of advanced composite structures and tooling for the UAV, aerospace, and electronics industries.
