Successful candidates will have long-term experience with set-up, full CAD/CAM programming, and operation of CNC milling machines. From automotive to medical and pharmaceutical companies, we have helped hundreds of organizations around the world successfully improve their business with our expert insight in the best feeding solutions.*Why join us:** Culture of Kindness* Team Environment* Management Team Who Cares* Learning and Development* Competitive Wages* Safety Shoe Allowance*Shift Schedule: ** Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour Day Shift; Employee must be on-site by 8:00am* 1/2 Hour Unpaid Lunch* Overtime after 40 hours*Rate of Pay: *$26.00-$32.00/hour depending on experience*Overview:** Report to Team Lead* Set-up, programming, and operation of a 3-axis Hurco CNC Mill, to create parts with a focus on quality and accuracy* Use of SolidWorks and hyperMILL to program* Accurately interpret drawings* Interpret drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, tools to be used, and materials for the job and setup requirements.* Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job* Take measurements and mark material for cutting* Perform first op-inspections and quality checks on machined parts* Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed and identify issues* Use of other manual equipment and other machinery as needed* Perform routine machine maintenance and general cleaning of shop* Ensure the use of proper PPE* Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, as well as VTR’s Mission, Vision, and Values* Other related duties as required*What you bring:** Post-secondary training/education as a Manual Machinist within a recognized trade program as an asset* 3-5 years of CNC mill machining experience in a similar manufacturing environment *required** 3-5 years of programming experience using hyperMILL or similar CAD/CAM software *required** *SolidWorks experience as an asset** Experience in similar metal manufacturing environment *required*; experience with aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel* Knowledge of Hurco controls as an asset* Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items (up to 65 lbs).* Comfortable standing for long periods of time* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals* Team player while being able to work independently when needed* Possess excellent manual dexterity and an eye for detail* Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials* Own toolbox and tools* CSA-approved safety shoes*Additional Information:** Overtime after 40 hours* Minimum 40 hours per week* Annual Bonus(es)* Flexible Paid Vacation Schedule* Casual dress* Referral Program* Paid education and training* Medical Health Insurance Program* Annual Safety Shoes Allowance* Birthday Paid Day Off* Paid Shutdown between Christmas and New Years*Work Conditions:** Temperature-controlled environment* Manufacturing setting with exposure to loud work noises when on shop floor and prolonged or frequent standing* CSA-approved safety Shoes Required* Hearing protection and safety glasses provided when requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Tuition reimbursementApplication Question(s):* Please tell me about your programming experience.
