Job SummaryThe Massage Therapy Instructor is responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the principles, techniques, and ethics of massage therapy. This role combines classroom instruction with hands-on practical training in a clinic setting, preparing students for successful careers as licensed massage therapists.Key Responsibilities· Teach a variety of massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage).· Provide lectures and demonstrations on anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology.· Incorporate ethics, business practices, and client communication into lessons.· Develop and update lesson plans and instructional materials.· Administer written exams and practical skill assessments.· Track and report student progress and attendance.· Supervise students during hands-on practice in the clinic.· Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.· Provide constructive feedback to improve student technique and professionalism.· Maintain knowledge of state and national licensing requirements.· Ensure curriculum aligns with regulatory standards and accreditation guidelines.· Offer career guidance and professional development advice.· Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.· Participate in faculty meetings and program development.· Maintain accurate records for grading and reporting.Qualifications· Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in good standing.· Minimum of 2–3 years of professional massage therapy experience.· Strong communication and organizational skills.· Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 39.5 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time offWork Location: In person
