To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function**Essential Functions:* Manages classroom ensuring compliance with all Child Care regulations, and company standards,policies and procedures. Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents and visitors. Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative ParentBoard that is updated regularly. Creates and implements thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating inaccordance with Celebree’s curriculum. Manages effective classroom transitions. Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels’ children as needed using positive andappropriate discipline techniques. Ensures that appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom is appropriatelymaintained. Accurately completes all paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records and attendance. Attends all team meetings, trainings and School events as requested. Provides support and direction to Aides to ensure the classroom functions in an orderly manner. Provides development, coaching and training to support Aide development. Always presents a positive and professional image, adhering to uniform requirements. Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timelymanner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development andclassroom happenings. Maintains open and effective communication with Management. Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with coworkers andDirectors to resolve. Maintains all mandatory certification requirements. Maintains confidentiality regarding families, co-workers, and self. Maintains regular and satisfactory attendance at all times, limits absences. Performs face to name counts every 30 minutes and upon transitions.Physical Demands:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully performthe essential functions of the job. The job requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, liftingand carrying; ability to lift 50 pounds.*Education/Experience:**Must have ECE degree, associate degree, or B.A *Must meet all Teacher requirements per State regulations.Specific Skills:Certification in CPR & First Aid.
