Autumn Care Assisted Living is looking for a Part-time Cook to prepare delicious meals for our residents. You will follow a weekly menu according to State Regulations & Resident Preferences. They must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals in large quantities.*Responsibilities** Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)* Cook food in various utensils or grillers* Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen* Ensure food is cooked to a safe temperature* Follow a state regulated menu* Serve food according to resident's allergies & preferences*Skills** Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)* Ability to follow all sanitation procedures* Very good communication skills* High school diploma or equivalent* Culinary background is a plus*Requirements** Up to date Food Handlers Permit* Be able to pass a background testJob Type: Part-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:* Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In person
