*Job Summary*We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Route Driver and Activity Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to their homes and to and from activity destinations. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage behavior effectively during transit.*Duties** Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.* Maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle by performing routine inspections and basic maintenance.* Manage passenger behavior during transit to ensure a positive experience for all riders.* Document any incidents or issues that arise during transport in accordance with company policy.*Requirements** Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred; experience in bus driving or paratransit is a plus.* Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.* Previous experience working with children or in senior care settings is beneficial.* Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks is preferred.* Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in various situations.Lewiston-Altura is a close-knit, rural school district nestled in the scenic bluff country of southeastern Minnesota.
