We are currently seeking a skilled, experienced, and highly motivated *Meat Market Manager* to lead and elevate our busy meat department. Our facility is fully equipped, including a new automatic wrapper machine, ensuring you have the best tools to succeed in a high-volume environment.*Key Duties and Responsibilities:** *Expert Meat Cutting:* Perform all standard and specialty *meat cutting procedures* with a high degree of skill, precision, and efficiency.* *Inventory & Profit Management:* Lead the execution of *ordering, receiving, and inventory control*. Manage department budget, calculate product margins, and analyze sales data to minimize waste (*shrink*) and maximize profitability.* *Team Leadership:* *Hire, train, mentor, and supervise* all department staff, including developing and managing the *department schedule*. Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.* *Merchandising & Sales:* Develop and execute dynamic *merchandising strategies* to create appealing displays, enhance product visibility, and drive sales.* *Customer Service:* Provide expert, friendly *customer service* by advising customers on meat selections, special cuts, and cooking techniques.* *Safety & Compliance:* Ensure and enforce rigorous compliance with all local and federal *food safety and sanitation* standards.
