Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in sushi making.*Responsibilities** Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff* Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions* Clean up station and take care of leftover food* Stock inventory appropriately* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers* Maintains a cooperative attitude, team spirit, and good morale among co-workers* Works as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service*Skills** Proven cooking and sushi experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook* Comprehensive knowledge of Sushi Preparation and trends* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks* Familiar with industry’s best practicesJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:* Flexible scheduleShift:* 10 hour shift* 12 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Evening shiftExperience:* Recent Full Time Sushi/Raw Bar: 3 years (Required)Language:* English (Preferred)License/Certification:* Food Safety Certification (Preferred)Work Location: In person
