*Job Summary*We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Director for a small vibrant church. The ideal candidate will oversee the development of choral music and hymns. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills to engage both choir members and congregation effectively.*Duties** Develop and plan choral pieces and congregational hymns* Lead rehearsals, ensuring performers are well-prepared and motivated* Conduct oneself professionally and with enthusiasm, representing the organization’s musical standards* Collaborate with other staff to organize meaningful weekly worship music* Maintain a positive environment that promotes learning, creativity, and teamwork*Skills** Proficient abilities in playing piano and and/or organ.* Ability to accompany choir and congregational singing* Strong leadership qualities to inspire and guide performers effectively* Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and collaboration with team members and audiences* Ability to mentor emerging musicians, fostering their growth and confidence in performance* Knowledge of diverse musical genres and performance techniques* Organizational skills to manage rehearsals, schedules, and program planning effectivelyThis position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our musical offerings.
