Location: 323 Prospect St., Midland Park, NJOn-site: 7:30 am – 3:30/4:00 pmSalary: $60,000 – $80,000Benefits:* Health, Dental and Vision* Generous Time Off* Competitive Hourly Wages and Premium Holiday Compensation* 403B PlanJob Summary:As the Science Teacher at Paradigm Therapeutic Day School, you will be responsible for teaching and ensuring that our students learn the Science skills required by the NJ Core Curriculum in conjunction with their IEP.Job Responsibilities:* Create purposeful and appropriate lesson plans that reflect the individual learning styles of his/her/their students* Create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies* Encourage student enthusiasm for the learning process and the development of good study habits* Provide progress reports, progress notes, and report cards as required* Plan and prescribe purpose assignments for teacher assistants* Evaluate the accomplishments of students on a regular basis using multiple assessment methods and in accordance with the NJ Core Curriculum* Assist in the ongoing curriculum revision process, including the revision of written courses of studyQualification:* New Jersey Certification as a Special Education Teacher of Students of Disabilities, Highly Qualified in Science or Teacher of the Handicapped* One to two (1-2) years of experience as a Science/Special Education Teacher._aradigm Therapeutic Day School follows Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, et seq and NJ Law Against Discrimination.
