*GPM Job Opportunity Summary*GPM is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to fabricate precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.This is a full-time position responsible for the setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of multiple CNC and manual machining equipment at GPM’s Duluth, MN location while ensuring accuracy and timeliness to all job functions. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 2 years of prior machining experience on manual and CNC machines and is a meticulous initiative-taker that is able to work in an industrial environment with minimal supervision.*Qualifications –*The ideal candidate for the position shall have:* Post-secondary schooling in machine tool technology or 2 years of machining experience.* Experience in forklift operation and overhead crane lifting and rigging is preferred.* Enough knowledge of Fanuc-controlled CNC machines to run existing programs and perform slight edits as required.* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.* Experience in drill sharpening, broaching, and keyway cutting.* Physically able to adjust, tighten, and secure large materials into machines* Conscious of safety protocols at all times* Unquestioned moral and ethical behavior*Responsibilities –** Set up and operation of machine shop equipment producing a variety of parts used in the manufacturing of our OEM product line.* Perform daily preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines used and perform minor maintenance and repairs when needed.* Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.* Ability to multitask with limited supervision in a solo set as well as being able to work with and communicate well in a group setting.* Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, cut costs and improve productivity.* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing setting.* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate milling machines effectively.* Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.* Familiarity with CAM programming is highly desirable.* Experience using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control checks.* Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.* Basic welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Join us in our commitment to excellence in manufacturing by applying your skills as a CNC Machinist!Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:* Machining: 2 years (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Duluth, MN 55811 (Required)Work Location: In person
