*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students. This position involves working closely with children, parents, and educators to foster a positive school environment and address various student needs. The School Counselor will provide guidance on personal issues, conflict resolution, and educational pathways while promoting mental health awareness.*Responsibilities** Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students dealing with personal, social, or academic challenges.* Develop and implement programs that promote mental health awareness and emotional well-being among students.* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.* Assist in conflict management and resolution among students, fostering a culture of respect and understanding.* Conduct assessments and standardized testing to identify student needs and track progress.* Support students with special education requirements by collaborating with special education staff.* Provide resources related to childcare, child welfare, and protective services when necessary.* Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress while ensuring confidentiality.* Participate in school events and workshops to promote counseling services and engage with the school community.*Requirements** Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.* Experience working with children in an educational or counseling setting is highly desirable.* Strong skills in conflict management and behavior management techniques.* Knowledge of child protective services and child welfare systems is a plus.* Familiarity with mental health counseling practices relevant to children and adolescents.* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.* Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students.Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of our students through dedicated support and guidance!Job Type: Full-timePay: $37,500.00 - $41,250.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
