To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled on-call, part-time Air Quality / Greenhouse Gas Specialist to join our team.*Summary*We are seeking an experienced and motivated Air Quality / Greenhouse Gas Specialist to join our Planning Team. You will provide technical expertise on air quality and greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments, support permitting and project planning, and help clients meet regulatory and sustainability goals in California’s evolving compliance landscape. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality technical assessments, support project permitting processes, and develop solutions that balance air quality, safety, and environmental stewardship. This position is fully remote. Some occasional paid travel may be required for site visits throughout the state of California.*Responsibilities** Conduct air quality and GHG impact assessments for CEQA/NEPA environmental documents, permitting, and planning projects.* Prepare and review technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory documentation in accordance with California and federal requirements.* Perform air dispersion modeling and GHG inventories using industry-standard tools (e.g., AERMOD, CALPUFF, CalEEMod).* Advise clients and staff on regulatory compliance (e.g., CARB, SCAQMD, BAAQMD), emission reduction strategies, and best practices.* Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to facilitate project delivery.* Contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives.* Stay current on California air quality and climate change regulations and guidance.*Qualifications** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.* Minimum 2 years of experience in air quality and/or GHG assessment, preferably in California.* Strong knowledge of CEQA/NEPA, CARB, and local air district regulations.* Proficiency with air dispersion modeling software and GHG inventory tools.* Excellent technical writing, analysis, and communication skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic consulting environment.* Professional certification (e.g., QEP, CPP, or membership in A&WMA) is a plus.Job Type: Part-timePay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hourExpected hours: 5 – 30 per weekBenefits:* Flexible scheduleExperience:* Air Quality Report Writing: 1 year (Required)Location:* California (Required)Work Location: Remote
