*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Camp Director to lead our summer camp program in Wilbarger County. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong leadership and organizational skills, and experience in educational or recreational settings. This role involves overseeing daily camp fire duties, ensuring a safe and engaging activities, and fostering positive relationships with campers, leaders, and parents. The Camp Director will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences that promote growth, learning, and fun for all participants.*Duties** Plan, organize, and supervise daily Camp Fire duties aligned with the program’s goals* Manage and train Camp Fire Leaders to ensure effective group management and behavior management techniques* Ensure the safety of all campers by implementing health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary* Coordinate special events, group leader trainings, summer camp, and other activities* Communicate regularly with parents regarding Camp Fire expectations and program updates* Oversee Camp Fire enrollment, attendance records, and compliance with state licensing requirements* Foster an inclusive environment that supports childhood development and accommodates children with special needs or disabilities* Maintain and report data and financial records for the Camp Fire organization* Maintain a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth among members and leaders* Maintain positive communication and detailed records with Board of Directors*Experience** Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, daycare, or camp environments* Background in education or program development is highly desirable* Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management strategies* Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate activities* Prior leadership experience as a camp counselor or director is desirableThis position offers an opportunity to lead an impactful program that inspire children’s growth while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
