*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in various aspects of food preparation and service. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests and local clientele.*Responsibilities** Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.* Assist in menu planning, ensuring a variety of options that meet dietary needs.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.* Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling guidelines and regulations.* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.* Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.* Provide additional culinary support for catering & events when needed.* Prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements upon request.*Experience** Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.* Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and safety standards is essential.* Experience working within a catering & event environment is a plus.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with FOH and BOH team members.* A passion for cooking and providing excellent food is highly valued._If you are a passionate culinary professional, we invite you to apply for the line cook position at The Rangeley Inn & Tavern.
