*Job Overview*The Department Foreman oversees the company’s manufacturing processes on an assigned basis. Monitors and evaluates workflow. Oversees staffing, scheduling and training for production personnel. Ensures manufacturing performance and quality goals are met. Leads and directs the work of others. Participates in the employee issue resolution process. Participates in the employee performance and merit review process. A wide degree of creativity and flexibility is expected. The daily routing will require the candidate to be on their feet nearly 100% of the time and includes walking, standing, reaching, lifting, stooping or bending.*Duties and responsibilities** Communicates facility issues to the Plant Manager for resolution* Proactively monitors the production state specific to backlog and customer satisfaction impacts* Reviews job order expectations for “event” date and content to ensure customer satisfaction (delivery and ad coy issues)* Coordinates manpower staffing based on customer demands* On a daily basis works proactively with the Plant Manager to support interdepartmental staffing assignments specific to meeting overall customer requirements* Operate equipment as required to support delivery expectations* Participate in inventory control issues* Maintain equipment (communicate higher level maintenance issues for resolution)* Participates in employee conflict resolution process* Identify and communicate opportunities address current and future challenges* Monitor and ensure quality assurance expectations are met* Ensures a safe work environment by driving daily housekeeping task completion*Skills/ Qualifications** Minimum two years of manufacturing leadership experience preferred.* Printing experience is a plus but not required.* Microsoft office experience* Ability to prioritizing and executing daily work assignments* Understanding of overall customer satisfaction expectations specific to on-time-delivery (OTD)The salary/hourly range indicated in this posting represents a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position.
