*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic Carson City manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to operate CNC lathes machines effectively. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment. This position will work swing shift the 3pm-1:30am.*Duties** Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to specifications.* Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining processes.* Utilize CAD software and SolidWorks for design modifications and programming.* Perform CNC programming, including CAM programming, to ensure accurate part production.* Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.* Maintain tooling and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.* Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for efficiency.* Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments during production runs.* Engage in assembly tasks as needed and assist with electrical discharge machining when required.*Requirements** Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe machines.* Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).* Familiarity with manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding is preferred.* Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical documents effectively.* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.* Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.* Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus.* Ability to operate forklifts safely is an advantage.* Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
