*Overview:*Electro-Methods Inc., a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a skilled *CNC Turning Operator* to join our second shift team. The CNC Turning Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components. This position requires attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.*Key Responsibilities:** Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Lathes/VTL) to produce precision aerospace parts according to engineering specifications and traveler documentation.* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.* Perform part inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators).* Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.* Perform routine machine maintenance, including tool changes, offsets, and minor troubleshooting.* Complete documentation and maintain accurate production records in accordance with AS9100 standards.* Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality inspectors to resolve machining issues.* Follow all company safety and quality policies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement..*Qualifications*:*Required:** High school diploma or equivalent.* 2+ years of CNC lathe or CNC turning experience in a manufacturing environment.* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop documentation.* Proficiency in using precision measurement tools.* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.*Preferred:** Aerospace industry experience.* Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls.* Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, or other aerospace/regulated manufacturing standards.* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.*Work Environment:** Second shift schedule; overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.* Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and shop floor activity.Standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. required._Qualified candidates may email their résumé along with a completed application form to: or apply in person at Electro-Methods, Inc. 330 Governors Hwy, South Windsor, CT 06074.__All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran._Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* South Windsor, CT 06074 (Required)Work Location: In person
