*Job Overview*We are seeking a talented and creative Print Shop Supervisor with Graphic Design experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design, customer service, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.*Company Overview*Our company is a full-service print shop. We offer self-service copy machine printing, private computer workstations, and custom printing solutions. We offer marketing materials from postcards to brochures, large format printing from banners to posters, and business stationery from letterheads to envelopes to name a few.*Responsibilities** Operates specialized machinery including high-speed digit printers and cutters.* Perform finishing operations including but not limited to cutting, folding, binding, padding, laminating, etc.* Oversee daily print operations such as prioritizing and scheduling jobs.* Coordinates workflow from layout to finishing.* Ensure timely, high-quality production of printed materials such as banners, business cards, flyers, brochures, postcards, booklets, rack cards, etc.* Oversee supplies and inventory, ordering, preparing cost estimates and track expenditures.* Meet client (walk-in and online) product needs by being thoroughly knowledgeable of various print products available in the shop, responding to print inquires, explaining design and cost capabilities and provide options to satisfy those needs and deliver print products as requested.* Monitors daily sales, processes completed work orders for accounting purposes.* Enforce safety protocols.* Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or inconsistencies and implement corrective actions promptly.* Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.* Performs other related duties as assigned.*Requirements** Understand paper weights, ink qualities, and chemicals used.* Experience in various printing techniques (offset, digital, screen) bindery processes, and graphic design software.* Knowledge of color management and color theory as it applies to graphic design.* Excellent typography skills with experience in typesetting and layout design.* Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.* A portfolio showcasing previous work in graphic design.* POS experience such as Shopify or Square.* Experience a plus in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Sketch, CorelDRAW, and Adobe After Effects.* Ability to work 40 hours/week with rotating Saturdays* Print shop hours: MON thru FRI 9:00 - 6:00 / SAT 9:00 - 1:00Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Paid time offPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* printing: 1 year (Required)Work Location: In person
