American Institute of Beauty (AIB) is a postsecondary beauty and wellness vocational school with two locations in Pinellas County and one in Manatee County, FL. Students attend AIB to pursue a career in cosmetology, barbering, nail technology, massage therapy and facial therapy.AIB is expanding its massage therapy program at its Largo, FL location and needs to add a massage therapy educator. This person will be responsible for educating and supervising enrolled students as to both the theory behind and practical applications of all modalities of massage therapy. That educator is provided with all the tools necessary to teach the curriculum required for students to graduate and sit for the MBLEX.The successful candidate must be licensed as a massage therapist by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy and have a minimum of two years full time experience (or the part time equivalent) as a practicing massage therapist.Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about the cosmetology profession and motivated to teach others about that profession. Both full-time and part-time, day and evening opportunities are available. Cosmetology classes are taught either Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, based on location.Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a starting range of $18 to $20 per hour.
