We look for people with bold new ideas, courage, and a pioneering spirit to join forces and invent the future, and to have fun along the way.We are looking for a *Machinist 3 * to set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders, to produce metal parts, mechanisms, tools, and machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to Client out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.*Responsibilities*:* Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as C.N.C. and manual lathes, C.N.C. and manual mills, and precision grinders to make parts from a variety of metals.* Understand mechanisms, tools, and machines to manufacture parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.* Understand and follow blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and verbal instructions to determine the sequence of operations and the method of setup for machining.* Knowledge of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as Swiss micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and standard Micrometers.* Communicate with others on the team about dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds, measures, marks, dimensions, and reference points to the Client's stock for machining.* Fitting and assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment.* Differentiate the material, parts, and equipment required for the jobs given.* Personally monitor and verify the dimensions and finish of parts during the machining process.* Keep the work area neat and clean.* Complete required paperwork accurately on a timely basis*Basic Qualifications:** Candidate must have 5+ years' experience on 3 Axis CNC machines, 4 and 5 Axis a plus.* Must have experience running manual machines and performing set-ups.* Experience with MAZATROL and Fanuc (HAAS) Controller preferred.* Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints.* Experience in performing unique set-ups.*Preferred Qualifications*:* CAD/CAM experience with Mastercam* CAM experience with SolidWorks/NX Siemens* Expert with Fanuc Mill (HAAS) controls, with 5-axis simultaneous.Job Type: ContractPay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Vision insuranceExperience:* 3 Axis CNC machines, 4 and 5 Axis: 5 years (Required)* running manual machines and performing set-ups: 4 years (Required)* MAZATROL and Fanuc (HAAS) Controller: 5 years (Required)* performing unique set-ups: 5 years (Required)* CAM : 3 years (Preferred)* assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment.: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
