We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.Responsibilities:The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA provides precision-machined components that power Keysight’s industry-leading electronic measurement equipment.In this full-time role, you will execute machining processes on swing shift utilizing Swiss lathes, advanced metrology, and auxiliary equipment to guarantee components meet Keysight’s exacting standards. This position will require a knack for precision, detail, and handling of extremely small turned parts.Keysight seeks a self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced,multicultural environment and values teamwork. The start time for this position is between 2pm and 4pm. May be required to work on day shift during training periods.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines CNC Swiss style lathe independently during swing shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous productionPerform complete machine setups, including tooling selection, offsets, program verification, and first‑article approvalMake in‑process adjustments to tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain part quality and dimensional controlTake full ownership of product quality on night shift, including inspection, documentation, and adherence to specifications and control plansIdentify, troubleshoot, and correct machining issues such as tool wear, machine alarms, surface finish problems, and dimensional variationWork closely with day shift to ensure smooth handoff, including clear communication of machine status, job progress, open issues, and improvement opportunitiesFollow standard work, drawings, and setup sheets while applying expert judgment to optimize process stability and cycle timePerform routine machine checks and preventive actions to minimize downtime and ensure equipment readinessMaintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records per operational requirementsEscalating quality, safety, or equipment concerns as needed to prevent defects from reaching the next operationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe tool machine shop areaGrind, sharpen, and recondition carbide and HSS cutting tools per specificationQualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience with one or more of the following:CNC Swiss/Lathe/MillStrong working knowledge of FANUC CNC controlsProven experience machining small, high-precision turned partsAbility to independently troubleshoot machining and quality issuesCarbide Tool Grinding and/or ResharpeningAdvanced MetrologyCNC ProgrammingInterpreting Specifications, Including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Education/ExperienceMay require some specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Pay Range:USD $67,030.00 - USD $111,720.00 YearCareers Privacy Statement***Keysight is an Equal Opportunity Employer.***#LI-EY1
