Job DescriptionThe Senior Financial Analyst will perform monthly close, forecast and budget financial activities for Aetna Medicare's Part D products, serving 5.7 million members. Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing large amounts of data necessary to complete monthly financial close as well as several iterations of planning, forecasting and assistance with components of bid preparation each year. Given stringent and complex Medicare regulations, must be able to deliver accurate numbers, maintain strong documentation and evaluate reasonability of results. Lead certain ad hoc projects. Also required to perform ad hoc annual financial activities to satisfy other CMS and regulatory requirements as well as training/mentorship over new team members. Compile, analyze and report Medicare DIR for monthly financial reporting (Aetna and SSIC business total $9B annually) Track daily logs for payments to bank accounts and record accurately in DIR tracker, answer pharmacy network managers' payment questions, approve checks requests, create PNR invoice files to reconcile rebates for monthly close Works collaboratively to resolve reporting issues with Controllership for both PDP and MAPD products Ownership over prior year risk share modeling and accurate tracking of DIR for multiple years. Demonstrates a clear understanding of complex calculations and shows a clear knowledge of the types of DIR and their financial statement impact. Independently prepares models each month end close and provides to controllership for monthly financial reporting Preparation of monthly close Standard Gross Profit schedules for both SSIC PDP and Wellcare PDP (runout) Review and monitor key drivers of variance to forecast and budget. Evaluates and analyzes financial information relative to plan Ownership of intercompany direct expenses accounting entries including direct cross-collaboration with intercompany and controllership teams Work with Aetna Finance, Legal and Regulatory to prepare responses to state, CMS and audit requests Ad hoc projects, provide oversight and training to new hires and complete required CVS and CMS training Serve as a resource for questions on month end close work for SGP, volume, DIR etc.Required Qualifications3 or more years of financial analysis experienceCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
