Job DescriptionOur Strategic Solutions team is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Tableau Developer to join a talented team responsible for providing critical business information in support of Aetna's Commercial Business growth and retention strategy. This is a great opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team of professionals across the enterprise to design and execute on data solutions that meet the needs of the business. The components of this position include: Manage and build Tableau and Business Objects reporting and deliver Dashboards/ Reporting projects to enable internal and external constituents' decisions and actions. Responsible for enhancing dashboard and reporting content, metrics, trouble-shooting and remediating issues. Auditing and testing prior to production releases. Apply industry-wide understanding of technology, tools, and methodologies to assist in developing solutions on projects of strategic significance. Evaluate and identify issues and constraints pertaining to a technology approach and coordinate the evaluation of solutions to ensure adherence to Aetna technology solutions. Integrate analytical solutions, tools, and studies e.g. statistical capabilities with-in the reporting software. Work with data visualization techniques, visual design concepts, and embed different technologies - e.g. SAP Business Object Universe, Python, statistical mechanisms, REST APIs, Server enablement, and Tableau Geo-coding. Develop prototypes to share reporting vision and visual designs while providing support of navigational design, wireframes, and examples. Work alongside internal organizations (Tableau COE, BOU COE) and attend monthly Aetna/CVS internal user forums to ensure open communications and coordination of activities with key customers. Improve user experience by fusing user goals, business goals, technology parameters, and design constraints. Drive adherence and adoption of the dashboard/ reporting applications.- Desire a candidate who is within driving distance of the Hartford, CT Aetna office in the event of an in-person meeting/training at some point in the future. All work is performed virtually currently. This is a standard role with hours 8-5, M-F. Preference is for a candidate who resides in Eastern Timezone. Any candidate selected must be willing to adhere to EST business hours.Required Qualifications5 or more years or some combination of: Progressively complex related experience in Tableau. Experience with SQL (querying databases). Additional experience in SAP Business Objects Universe a plus. Minimum five years of experience working in operations analytics and with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting. Additional experience working in marketing and operations analytics in the finance sector and building, validating, and monitoring statistical models and ensuring client guidelines are met. Additional experience delivering data analytics presentations to clients and executives, supervising projects and leading teams, participating in project requirements, developing, coordinating and managing offshore supplier resources, participating in high-level and low-level design meetings and preparing initial design documents used to start development work.
