Job DescriptionCVS continues to transform We have an exciting opportunity as Category Manager, for General Merchandise - Stationery these categories, you will guide financial growth and build a strategy on a national scale to multiple formats. You will have the full scope of responsibility for the assigned specific strategic, merchandise categories and accomplishing budgeted sales, gross margin, and capturing market share within the category.This will include full P&L responsibility for achieving budgeted Sales, Contribution Margin, and Gross Margin Return on Inventory Investment. You will develop annual category business plans for 1, 3 and 5 years out as well was category strategic plans for weekly, seasonal, and annual merchandising programs while maintaining competitive analysis, including store and market visits.You will also be:Maintain positive trade relations and develop strategic alliances in the market.Manage the manufacturer and vendor portfolio.Run test programs to inform long-term improvement and positioning.As Category Manager you will operate within the Merchandising area and work with a large team including team members from Pricing, Promotional Planning, Marketing, Inventory, Financial Planning, Store Operations, Field Merchandising and Category Planogram Designers to achieve the Merchandising goals as it relates to the category strategic plans.You will search out new, competitive opportunities at CVS within your assigned categories and driving the business to provide an industry-leading position for CVS.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in an analytical, merchandising and/or category management role.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
