Job DescriptionAs a Benefits Verification Process Owner - Manager, you will lead all aspects of Prior Authorizations (PA) including providing operational expertise, project management oversight, process improvements, development of future requirements / customizations and pivotal initiative implementations and standard methodologies. You will also provide significant input for the design, execution, and management of key initiatives within PA operations, including but not limited to process optimization.Other duties include: Manage operational improvement projects related to Prior Authorization, including creation and documentation of processes/job aides/SOPs, implementation of pilot testing and roll-out, facilitating meetings and ensure follow-up. Provide subject matter expert (SME) level assistance for programs and processes. Facilitate communication for problem resolution and changes occurring in the organization that may impact the workflow of the Pharmacy, BV and Patient Services, with specific accountability for end-to-end process evaluation, teamwork, and modification. Provides "hands on" involvement in the execution of new initiatives and technology to ensure understanding and effective utilization of new procedures and technology on an ongoing basis. Communicate major changes to all affected departments. Meeting with managers and directors of other departments to discuss cross-departmental issues and identify potential solutions. Business SME for IT improvements including ownership and approval of system requirements. Ability to work with cross-functional groups and coordinate work efforts to complete a single project Strong communication, verbal and written, and ability to influence and drive desired behaviors Ability to interact with all levels of employees and get resultsThis is an individual contributor role.
