Job DescriptionAetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Principal Software Engineer (Lead Data Engineer) to: Provide software support for Attain, a mobile product provided by Aetna. Duties include: Write complex ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing. Design data marts and data models to support data science and other internal customers. Work with advanced programming languages, including Java, Python, SQL/Hive, Spark, and NoSQL. Work on advanced data structures, distributed processing, bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities, and UNIX commands. Design and build new solutions leveraging cloud resources or premise infrastructure. Maintain responsibility for AWS or similarly distributed architecture (EC2, S3, SQS, etc.) Build complex systems to solve challenging analytical problems. Leverage multiple tools and programming languages to efficiently analyze and manipulate large data sets and create solutions to highly complex technical problems. Design and develop complex and large scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in JAVA based Microservices Development on AWS. Experience must include the following: building Microservices applications using Java and Spring Boot; designing and building REST/Web Service APIs; developing solutions using Message Systems including RabbitMQ, Kafka; one document-oriented DB (MongoDB, CouchDB, etc); containerization environments and infrastructure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes); working with at least one RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS, Oracle, etc); ORM (e.g Hibernate); building and testing automation with J-Unit or Cucumber; Experience maintaining complex, shared Enterprise Java services - security, logging, common APIs and enforcing coding standards; and Git or Jenkins; and monitoring distributed services using modern tooling such as ELK.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
