Job DescriptionSQL Server Database Administrator- REMOTE Manage and configure SQL server databases and processes ensuring high level of performance, availability, sustainability and security Responsible for overall support and maintenance of all SQL environments Perform scheduled Production deployment and maintenance activities, including afterhours 247 rotational support. Perform database backups and recoveries as needed and enhance SQL backup, restore, and failover strategies Implements, periodically tests, and reviews appropriate data access and security measures, including access control, audit, backup/restore and system rebuild & recovery processes. Participate in SQL database performance tuning, tracing and profiling, creation of right indexing strategy to meet data growth needs for performance, reliability and availability Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SQL scripts and procedures using industry standard tools. Participate in data projects and ad-hoc data load/analysis requests using ETL and reporting tools and technologies Implement automation to reduce administrative tasks through the use of jobs, scripts and other techniques. Evaluate and implement products and POCs to enhance our DB/BI/DW solutions. Experience in Microsoft application development tools, source control, testing, and configuration management. Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills and familiarity with end to end development cycle Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to meet project milestones and deadlinesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other applicable area of study.8 or more years of experience in SQL server database development and maintenance6 or more years of experience in enterprise, application, and information architecturemethodologies and designHands-on experience with applications using SQL server databases.Knowledge of database design and performance optimizationExperience with SQL server development across variety of applications Experience with monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the performance, backup, and recovery of these SQL server database.Experience with ETL tools like SSIS or InformaticaExperience with SQL Server databases, development, and applications is requiredExperience with SQL Cluster Management and SQL Cluster Migration is requiredGood problem solver with the ability to look beyond minimum requirements to try and understand underlying business purposeFamiliarity with ticket tracking softwareAbility to work effectively with business areas and IT management andstaff.Good judgment and communication skillsHealthcare experience preferredCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
