Job Description- Establish and maintain the Legal Department's Government and Federal Contracting Program and oversee the company's internal government contracts database. - Possess knowledge and understanding of the government (federal, state, and local) contracts that are held by the company. Establish and maintain close working relationships with business owners of those contracts. - Maintain current knowledge of and support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and executive orders, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Service Contract Act, the federal Paid Sick Leave Act, and other government procurement laws and processes. - Understand any industry best practices and guidelines and work with CVS Health Government Affairs when needed to interpret pending regulations or legislations that might impact government contracts or contractors. - Active participation in the government contract RFP process. Drafting and negotiation of a variety of governmental prime and subcontract agreements, both on the federal, state, and local level, on behalf of internal business units. In some cases this may include taking the lead on negotiating terms, costs and contract requirements, and in other cases providing subject matter expertise to legal colleagues. - Interpret and explain contract terms and conditions as well as regulations that apply to government contracts and contractors for internal clients. Analyze and determine economic, business and operational impact of contract terms and conditions and regulations on the company. Lead and provide continued support for compliance with those terms and requirements.- Provide pragmatic legal and commercial advice by summarizing and communicating legal concepts to management and colleagues in the field. - Advising on bid protests and litigation with outside counsel.- Interface directly with governmental agencies when necessary, including the U.S. Department of Labor and other governmental agencies. - Assist in drafting and implementing company policies that relate to government contracts and contractors.- Provide training to Legal Department colleagues and internal clients.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 157800Maximum: 347200Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
