The team is organized by business-aligned verticals - Medicare STARS, Revenue Integrity, Duals COE, Foundational Journeys, CVS Activation, & Optimization. This role is within our Medicare STARS vertical.About the JobThis is a hands-on lead data scientist role, with a combination of technical leadership / mentorship of 5-10 data scientists and data engineers, and an advanced hands-on project related to optimization of our health quality interventions. One of the many projects you could be working on:Technical excellence Develops and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms Use strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions Communication & translation Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals and create predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics to provide analytical solutions Communicate analytical results in presentations to business partners and/or leadership teams Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization Technical mentorship Behaves as mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice Helps to define and implement technical standardization, code review processes, and otherwise ensure technical growth and quality of output by the teamPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 5+ years of relevant Data Science and business experience Strong grasp of experimental design, A/B testing and advanced statistical analysis Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop/Hive, AWS, GCP, etc. Structured approach to frame problems and closely partnering with business stakeholders Strong skills to effectively communicate and negotiate across the business Ability to lead through ambiguity and complexity to take calculated risks to solve problems, forge new paths for growth, and achieve challenging goals.
