Job DescriptionThe Business Continuity Manager role is responsible for implementing CVS Health's Enterprise Resiliency strategy to ensure continuous improvement of the Business Continuity program across dedicated service lines. The individual will plan, implement, and oversee the response and recovery planning at the Business Unit level to ensure the organization meets customer, client, patient, and regulatory (Medicare and Medicaid) requirements for critical product and services and to ensure patient access to care is maintained during crises, emergencies, and disruptive events. The role will be responsible for interfacing with senior management, regulatory auditors, clients, and company stakeholders while also implementing and supporting services. The position will work cross-functionally across lines of business to ensure a consistent business approach and will act as the lead relationship manager for all points of Business Continuity program escalation, contention, or concern.The position reports to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Resiliency. The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field that possess excellent customer service skills, analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills.Responsibilities include: Manage a team responsible for working with assigned business portfolio to ensure compliance with Business Continuity program policy, standards, and effective crisis management response and communications. Develop and lead Business Continuity planning activities with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for critical business areas, functions, and applications to maintain continued operations, asset protection, loss mitigation, and favorable recovery times in the event of a disruption. Work with department leaders to develop Business Impact Analyses, risk assessments, risk mitigation solutions, and BCPs to ensure business units can continue to manage critical business functions, satisfy regulatory obligations, and maintain compliance with client contracts. Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify gaps and address deficiencies in recovery strategies to enhance contingency plans. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate comprehensive and integrated exercises to regularly test BCPs to identify weaknesses and areas of improvement. Document and report on exercise results and coordinate with business leaders to remediate issues. Coordinate and facilitate client BCP reviews with internal and external stakeholders. Initiate immediate course of action against significant events in various size and scale of impact (hurricane, social unrest, pandemic) by leading business unit incident response calls and supporting business units during large scale crisis events. Manage emergency notification system for business units and ensure updates reflect changes in staff size, location, organization, home office, and facilities. Utilize Business Continuity planning tool and ensure program updates are made in accordance with key deliverables. Facilitate business continuity training and awareness for designated management in all functional areas. Effectively manage and provide team leadership including onboarding, staff development and attendance, performance reviews, expense processing, and other activities, as assigned in a timely manner. Perform program and project activities as assigned by Senior Manager or Director.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 60,300Maximum: 126,600Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 5+ years of Business Continuity or Enterprise Resiliency experience working in a corporate, retail, pharmacy, or healthcare setting. At least one (1) year in a management role. Requires 24/7 availability and readiness to support situations reported from key risk areas. After hours and weekend work may be required during emergency situations. Moderate travel expected 25%.Preferred Qualifications Professional certification within the business continuity/disaster recovery industry (i.e., Certified Business Continuity Professional) Experience using and maintaining BC planning tools. Experience with emergency notification system. Experience in presenting to, and proven ability to effectively communicate with senior management. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. Must be able to interface and coordinate efficiently with business partners locally and in remote locations. Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills. Highly motivated individual with the ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment, lead a team and make decisions.
