Job DescriptionThis role can be fully remote.The Business Architect is the Product Owner for for the Commercial Sales organization.The Business Architect plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business information. This person aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding the design of business solutions, processes, and user experiences. The Business Architect collaborates closely with users, project sponsors, partners, and vendors to ensure designs and strategies are holistic and effective. The Business Architect works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. This is a discipline that represents holistic, multidimensional business views of capabilities, information, and end"to"end value delivery.What a Business Architect Does: Salesforce strategy, architecture, and roadmap Customer/consumer driven; looks for intersections among different areas and silos to create differentiating solutions Acts as a bridge between business and technology, develops capability maps and other artifacts, and helps in the operationalization of strategy, and assists in the technology enablement of core capabilities and value streams. Understands the relationships between varying business views of strategies, products, policies, and initiatives Delivers value by facilitating change and bridging strategy and execution while simplifying complex environments May have supervisory responsibility, possibly acting as coach and mentor to junior members and peers within the Business Architecture and Operations teams Works with and supports various levels of the organization to understand strategic imperatives and provide business architecture artifacts to influence their plans and roadmaps Participates in the governance model to support key goals, planning and execution of various business scenarios, and delivery of bottom line business value Works with Portfolio Manager and Manager of Operations to ensure portfolio alignment, effective operational transition and support, and effective delivery models See beyond the status quo and look for ways to differentiate the Aetna/CVS experience Help determine which solutions require the platform vs can live off platform; this includes associated processes, data, reporting, and technology partnersResponsibilities: product owner Develop (or contribute to) a strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations; accomplished through collaboration with peers, partners, and business unit leadership Apply a consistent, structured approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise; easily consumed and understood by partners, leadership, and user base Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance. Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions. Conduct process design, through a structured approach such as root cause problem solving, to ensure the organization has sound process designs that are effective, minimize or eliminate waste, and are user-centric to benefit customers Collaborate with the team to define a set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes. Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data. Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units. Lead and deliver projects based on roadmap and governance priorities; ownership mentality that oversee plans, financials and resources required to deliver Maintain in depth knowledge of Salesforce platform to ensure overall health of the platform, effective solution design, and roadmaps that leverage platform capabilitiesPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,400Maximum: 158,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications Deep strategic knowledge and experience with including architecture and design (certifications a plus) A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations; ability to effectively present to groups within the organization The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities Ability to simplify complex problems and solutions in order to explain and garner support; translate scenarios into terms all levels of the organization can understandPreferred Qualifications Experience and knowledge of IT and Business processes, environments, and practices The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions. Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
