Job DescriptionThe Sr Analyst, Systems Engineering individual possesses targeted technology skills in many mainframe and distributed disciplines including database administration, MQ queue administration, CICS, WebSphere, IIB, etc. This is a 3rd shift position where regular hours would be in the evenings in rotating shifts. Database administration support includes mainframe (Db2 z/OS & IDMS) and distributed (Db2 LUW, Oracle and SQL Server) and would require familiarity of the z/OS, AIX and Linux operating systems. As part of the Database Administration team in a Fortune 5 company, you will work with a team of talented DBAs and systems engineers who are responsible for business critical systems that utilize high availability solutions and where availability, reliability and stability are essential. You will help to ensure that all solutions of application and business issues are secure, compliant, and adhere to the minimum security baselines set forth by CVS Health. Middleware support includes MQ queue administration, CICS and IIB support in a capacity that serves at the nighttime extension of these IT teams in the enterprise, providing checkouts, starting and stopping of services and queues, assisting in releases and problem issues. Additional responsibilities of the Sr Analyst, Systems Engineer include:-Perform comprehensive checkouts for MQ, DB2 and IIB components in association with AIX/LINUX, WINDOWS server upgrades/patches -Perform CICS platform functionality tests after software or database upgrades -Knowledge of CICS operations and functionality-Gather additional CICS diagnostics, as needed, in partnership with Data Center Operations staff-Level One/Two support response for offshore development requests, issues, questions troubleshooting -Resolve batch job failures associated with application and infrastructure platform batch maintenance jobs for mainframe and midrange -Resolve DB2 batch utility abends i.e. images copies, modifies, reorgs, unloads, reloadsPlease note this position is available fully remote anywhere in the United States.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 33.65Maximum: 67.31Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications- 5+ years' experience in the Information Technology (IT) field. - 5+ years' experience working as a Database Administrator, MQ Administrator or Middleware Engineer.
