Keymark is actively interviewing and hiring for the role of Caustic Tank Operators for Second Shift at our Fonda, NY, manufacturing plant. Individuals with basic chemistry knowledge (take titration) and waste tank / caustic tank experience are encouraged to apply!Second Shift scheduling is 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Sunday through Wednesday / Wednesday through Saturday, with Wednesdays being half days unless needed full shift. After your introductory employment period, the complete Benefits Package with company contribution to offset your cost is provided to full-time employees.Keymark offers: Drug and Smoke-Free Work Environment Equal Opportunity Employer 401(k) Savings Plan + up to 4% company match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Free Life Insurance Supplemental Coverages Paid Vacations 6 Paid Holidays Sick Time 1 Floating Holiday Scope of Work:The Caustic Tank Operator is responsible for the timely turnaround of die cleaning, to include the flow of dies into and out of the caustic cleaning tanks. The Caustic Tank Operator shall also monitor all equipment, as well as the transport, mixing, and disposal of caustic solution.Primary Responsibilities: Make caustic solution Monitor tanks for proper water levels and temperature Make pulls for dies as described in the SOP Monitor solution level in the waste tanks located in the Cast House Keep up to speed on pulls needed to get dies in for repair as quickly as possible Operate crane (robot) in caustic room and complete daily pre-operation checklist Other Responsibilities: Safety checks on equipment and eye wash stations General housekeeping to help keep work area clean  Operate hoist and tugger cart as required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer use and knowledge Basic chemistry knowledge (tank titration) Ability to work and complete job alone Use of tools when necessary Ability to take direction and follow all procedures Problem Solving: Monitor caustic strength during shift Replacement of worn eyebolts and chisels Working Conditions:Keymark operates in a manufacturing environment. Proper PPE must be worn at all times (to include hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes).About us:Keymark is a premier full-service aluminum extrusion company featuring in-house finishing capabilities, including anodizing, casting, extruding, extrusion die construction, painting, thermal barrier, thermal strut, and custom packaging.
