OverviewEgan Company is seeking a skilled and safety conscious Warehouse Driver and Equipment Hauler to join our dynamic team The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely operating commercial vehicles transporting heavy equipment to and from our warehouse fabrication shops and customer job sites This individual will also have experience in a fast paced warehouse environment ResponsibilitiesThe basic responsibilities of the Warehouse Driver & Equipment Hauler include but are not limited to the following Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including flatbed trucks dock trucks trailers and other equipment haulers in compliance with all DOT and company safety regulationsSecurely load transport and unload heavy construction and industrial equipment This includes proper chaining strapping and flagging of oversized loadsAssist with general warehouse operations includingLoading and unloading trucks stocking inventory and maintaining a clean and organized work areaComplete and maintain accurate driver logs pre trip and post trip inspection reports and other required paperworkAdhere to all safety protocols in the warehouse and on the road Conduct routine safety checks on vehicles and equipmentOperate fork lift as requiredSecure loads as require on trucksWork in the warehouse as directedMaintain driving credentials and Class A Commercial Driver LicensePerform duties consistent with Egan Companys foals and mission statementsMaintain professionalism with co workers customers sub contractors vendors project managers office and field staffWork in a team environment with other warehouse workers to accomplish tasks at handOther duties as assignedPosition RequirementsA valid Class A Commercial Drivers License is required Specific class requirement will depend on the vehicles to be operatedMinimum of five years of experience driving a truck over 10000 GVWAbility to drive and certified to operate a forkliftA clean driving record is essentialMinimum QualificationsA minimum of 2 3 years of verifiable experience operating commercial vehicles and hauling heavy equipment is required Prior experience in a warehouse setting is highly preferredThe ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50 75 pounds is required The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to stand bend and lift for extended periodsStrong knowledge of DOT regulations load securement techniques and safe operating procedures is mandatory Excellent time management and communication skills are also essentialProficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite and Microsoft OfficeWorking ConditionsPerformance of duties in the warehouse Approximately 10 of the timePerformance of duties outside of
