Professional Truck Driver Responsibilities: Operates vehicles to transport equipmentSupports the sales department with equipment deliveryLoads and transports equipment to and from customer locationsInstructs customers on basic equipment operating proceduresLoads and transports equipment between dealership locationsPicks equipment up from vendors as needed Picks equipment up from the Deere factory as needed Delivers bulk fluids to customersPerforms pre-trip inspectionsMaintains, cleans and cares for trucks and trailersMaintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts Provides complete and thorough work order documentationAccounts for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned dutiesMaintains all required certifications in line with DOT and company policyDealership Standards: Ensures an organized, professional workspace and maintainsvehicles, tools, devices, and equipment Reports to work on time, manages time effectively, and works well independently and in groups Upholds a professional personal appearance Supports dealership customer service efforts and promotes all company departments Follows safety regulations Completes required training Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Experience, Skills and Knowledge: One or more years'trucking experience Experience with legal, safe methods of loading and haulingwide and/or heavy loads preferred Experience with basic computer functions Ability to drive automatic andmanual transmissions Able to lift, bend, and carryValid driver's license with an insurable driving record required CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required DOT Health Card or ability to get one required This job description is meant to provide a general overview of the expected tasks for this position. The actual starting pay offer will account for our overall wage and benefit package, applicant experience, training, skill, and internal equity among our existing employees. This is an hourly position with a potential hiring offer range of $22.00-30.00 per hour, based on factors listed above.
