Full Time Shift VariesBETHESDA NORTH NUTR SVCS-FOOD MGMTJob Overview:You are responsible for assisting senior FANS leaders in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the food and nutrition Department. You will coordinate the tasks of the front-line staff. You will serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments and provide the highest possible level of service.Establishes and annually reviews standards and work procedures for all Dietary staffPlans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are renderedAssists in the hiring process; interview, hiring and training of new associatesOrients, develops, and supervises all supervisory of FANS staffConducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the facilityMonthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plansStaff education and trainingCommunication with staff, administration, and other departmentsJob Requirements:High School Degree in General Studies2-3 years experience ManagementMinimum of two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or trainingJob Responsibilities:Other Job-Related Information:Direct Report FTEs = 60-99Indirect Report FTEs = 60-99Four year college degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience requiredAt least three years of supervisory experience in Food and Nutrition or service-related field with high customer/client contact requiredDemonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care Food and Nutrition or Hospitality Management preferredAbility to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentationsAbility to multi-task and establish prioritiesAbility to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environmentExhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadershipPossess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office proceduresWillingness to work on a regular basis including weekend and holiday rotationWorking Conditions:Climbing - OccasionallyConcentrating - ConsistentlyContinous Learning - OccasionallyHearing: Conversation - ConsistentlyInterpersonal Communication - ConsistentlyKneeling - OccasionallyLifting
