Neuromuscular Medicine/ Clinical Neurophysiology Physician Banner University Medicine University of ArizonaThe Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, in collaboration with Banner - University Medicine Tucson, seeks aBoard Certified/Board Eligible Neuromuscular or EMG Clinical Neurophysiology specialistto join our dynamic and collegial clinical faculty team. The successful candidate will be part of arenowned academic neurology programrecognized for excellence in patient care, teaching, and clinical research. With a thrivingresidency program and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, the ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic commitment to education and/or research while delivering exceptional, compassionate care to a diverse and medically complex patient population. A faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications will be awarded, along with full faculty status at the University of Arizona.Clinical & Academic Environment The Department of Neurology offers acomprehensive multidisciplinary approachto the evaluation and treatment of common and rare neuromuscular disorders, including: Myasthenia Gravis Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Muscular Dystrophies and other inherited neuropathies Our facilities includestate-of-the-art outpatient clinics, adedicated neuromuscular genetics programwith an on-site genetic counselor, neuropsychology services, and a multidisciplinaryALS clinicintegrating physical, occupational, and speech therapies. The department fosters acollegial, collaborative environmentwith a strong commitment to innovation, teaching, and patient-centered care.Opportunities for Interdisciplinary CollaborationThis position offers unique opportunities for collaboration with colleagues inrheumatology, cardiology, and geneticson both clinical and research initiatives. These partnerships support multidisciplinary patient care and create avenues for advancing translational research in neuromuscular disorders.Research Infrastructure The Department of Neurology houses arobust Clinical Research Unitwith dedicated personnel and infrastructure to supportclinical and translational research.
