Strategic Customer Director - Mid-market - North East RegionJoin to apply for the Strategic Customer Director - Mid-market - North East Region role at BD.OverviewThe Strategic Customer Director (SCD) is accountable for managing the entire customer lifecycle with the US Region’s Mid-market health systems (IDNs). The SCD represents the entire BD portfolio and leads a multi-functional matrix team including sales, business unit national accounts, clinical services, GPO, customer care, supply chain, channel management, marketing, medical affairs, and quality. The goal is to ensure customer goals and BD sales growth and profitability targets are achieved. The role includes developing and executing strategic account business plans, building executive relationships, and achieving key business metrics such as revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and team leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive high-value business development initiatives to achieve revenue and gross profit targetsDevelop and expand relationships with executive and enterprise-level decision makersAct as the BD account leader/account owner at assigned accountsLead the development of enterprise strategiesProactively grow accounts by being the "One BD" Account leaderIdentify and lead enterprise opportunitiesPresent compelling and innovative ideas to executives to co-create value with customersThink expansively about the value BD can bring to customers across all solution setsSkills And CompetenciesResults Driver: Proactively lead the process to grow accounts and achieve business goalsProject Management: Oversee account teams, implement plans, and accomplish objectivesProblem-Solver: Strategic mindset and collaboration with leaders from various departmentsRelationship Lead: Access to executive decision makers and drive new revenueDomain Knowledge: Healthcare industry expertise and understanding of profitability driversCollaborator: Influence without authority and thrive in ambiguous situationsExperience And EducationBachelor’s degree required; graduate or clinical degree preferredSales leadership experience strongly preferredMinimum 5 years of large account management/IDN experienceMinimum 7 years of sales and/or marketing experience in healthcareProven ability to engage, build relationships, and close deals with C-suiteExperience in complex matrix organizational structuresUnderstanding of hospital systems operations and decision-makingSolution and consultative selling experienceExperience negotiating complex customer agreementsExperience working with health systems at the C-suite levelDevelopment of joint business plans and strong communication/influencing skillsLocation And CompensationPrimary Work Location: USA IL - Vernon Hills; Additional Location: USA MO - St LouisSalary range: $190,000 - $206,000 annual base plus incentivesWhy Join UsBD is committed to investing in its associates’ well-being and development and to rewarding performance.
