Team-members are regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms. They may perform rigorous physical labor, sit, climb structures, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Team-members frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus.Minimum Education RequiredHigh School/GEDJob CategoryOperationsAdditional Qualifications / ResponsibilitiesWork Environment: Team-members may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level can be loud. Powerline construction work is outdoors and subject to diverse weather conditions.General ExpectationsAble to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.Able to read/write and communicate effectively.Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.Able to work for extended periods in various locations.Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.Willing to work overtime and outside of normal hours, including weekends and holidays as required.Functions in Overhead Powerline ConstructionWork safely on energized and de-energized overhead spect rubber goods and PPE; wear PPE as required.Strings overhead wire, Sets poles and anchors.Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, cross-arms, insulators, switches and switchgear.Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.Work with energized high voltage systems; maintain safety for self and others.Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.Perform rigorous physical labor; understand basic rigging, hand lines, and lineman knot tying.Understand proper use and maintenance of hand tools; identify material types used in line work.Identify primary and secondary voltages; be familiar with induced voltage.Assist with installing and hooking up a single-phase transformer; basic bucket rescue/escape.Understand equipment setup and grounding; work at heights and in confined spaces; observe minimum approach distance.Understand excavation and shoring requirements; operate and climb different structure types; use Kellum grips as needed.Work outside in inclement weather; perform other related duties as required.LocationCity: GulfportState: MississippiJob CodeOperations_ SpecialistAffiliate SponsorPIKE #J-18808-Ljbffr
